Oyesile Baale Olugbode hailed from Kuta, and he was one of the people who found themselves in Ibadan through crisis just like others. He became the Baale in the year 1851 AD. 

During the time of Baale Olugbode, it was a good regime, things are going well, there is peace in the town of Ibadan and the town’s economy is booming well. It was during the time of Baale Oyesile, popularly known as Baale Olugbode that Ibadan became more wealthier and have more slaves, with war Ibadan then was able to subdue several other towns under his control.

Ibikunle as Balogun

Ogunmola as Otun Balogun

Osundina as Otun Balogun (he is the father of Basorun Apampa)

Akere as Asipa Balogun 

Orowusi as Ekerin Balogun 

Latosa as Are Ago Balogun 

Abayomi as Agia Balogun 

Ajayi Jegede as Seriki, Odunjo became seriki after the death of Ajayi Jegede

These above-listed chiefs are the Important chiefs that are known during this time, because they are the ones who lead the war and whatever they have said or concluded on is final. 

Here is the list of other chiefs who stay with Baale all times and don’t go to war 

Sunmola as Otun Bale 

Tunbosun as Are Ago Baale and so on 

This was the time Ogboriefon was Bada, Awanibaku (Baale Akintayo’s father) was the stay home Balogun for Ogunmola. 

The chiefs at the time of Baale Olugbode were Powerful and courageous people, they have so many eulogies and achievements such that their names can never be forgotten in history. The surprising thing during the time of Baale Olugbode was that, there was no conspiracy, neither was there political or economic crisis throughout his rule, which shows there is unity among his chiefs and they have no atom of jealousy, hatred or conspiracy, and he himself isn’t a greedy person 

The second Amazing thing about Bale Olugbode was that it was during his time that the Omo Alade Alafia parish brought Christianity to Ibadan, and he never for one discomforted these groups of people or stop them from shilling for their ministries. 

Baale Olugbode is one of the Longest serving Baale in Ibadan because the regime of all his predecessors was filled with crisis, disunity, and conspiracy
